Splashpads are open and operated by a touch activated switch at all locations between 10am-8pm daily

The accessible public washrooms at Pinafore will be open from 8am – 6pm until Sept 27,     
7 days a week. After Sept 27, the accessible washrooms will be open from 8am - 4pm, 7 days a week through the winter months, with portable toilets stationed at the Playground.

Waterworks and 1Password will have portable toilets on site for the off-season.

Visitors to St. Thomas will be impressed by our parks and recreation facilities. We have one of the most outstanding parks systems for a city its size with 43 parks spread over 700 acres.

Price: $2,500.00 with a tax receipt of $500 for your income tax purposes.
New bench locations now available at the DJ Tarry Complex, 1Password Park, Rosethorn Park, Parish Park and Orchard Park Trail.

The Parks and Recreation Department invites you to enjoy the beauty and recreational delights of its three main parks:

  • Pinafore Park, in the southwest section of the city, offers 111 acres, including a beautiful woodlot, Lake Margaret addition and numerous walking trails with major events drawing thousands of visitors each year.
  • Waterworks Park, at the northern city limits, is 100 acres, (40 hectares), of recreational trails and naturalized areas and ranks with the top beauty spots of Southern Ontario. 35 acres of managed park lands consisting of beautifully manicured gardens, pavilions, playground and splashpad.
  • 1Password Park, at the north/east section of the city, boasting a splashpad, playground, walking trails, basketball courts, pavilion, turf field and 33 soccer fields.

This is a great opportunity to offer the community an activity that will get people of all ages out of their homes to spend quality time with family and friends. Movies in the Park is free to the public and is an extremely positive use of the park, as it showcases a beautiful setting to enjoy a summer evening. Admission is free with a donation of canned food items for the Caring Cupboard Food Bank.
