Highbury Widening & Extension

 

The City of St. Thomas will be widening Highbury to four (4) through lanes and a shared center left from Ron McNeil to South Edgeware Road.  Highbury will be extended from South Edgeware to Highway 3.  Two lanes will be installed at the intersection of Ron McNeil, South Edgeware and Highway 3.  South Edgeware will be reconstructed from Harper Road to Centennial.  See below for a cross section of how Highbury will look.

This project has started and is anticipated to finish in December 2024.

Project Updates

Traffic along Highbury is currently shifted to the west while we expand the road to the east.  The extension from South Edgeware to the south is being built as well as parts of the roundabout at South Edgeware and Highbury.  Underground work along South Edgeware is anticipated to start in July.
