City of St. Thomas Announces New City Manager

Following a comprehensive recruitment process, Mayor Joe Preston and the members of the Council of the City of St. Thomas are very pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Bradley as the new City Manager. 
  
With 25 years of leadership experience in both the municipal and broader public service sectors, Mr. Bradley joins St. Thomas from the City of Brantford where he is currently the Commissioner of Community Development. Previously, Michael oversaw key administrative responsibilities at the County of Brant, holding several progressively responsible roles for 11 years including serving as the County’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) from 2018 to 2023.  

While at Brant County, Mr. Bradley led the effective creation of the Brant 403 Business Park, ensuring the successful development of over 3 million square feet of industrial development capacity. He also initiated, developed, and oversaw all activities of the “Brant Municipal Enterprises Inc”, an award-winning municipal services corporation. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Brock University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Windsor, and is very active in his community, volunteering his time with several community agencies.

Mr. Bradley will begin this important role on May 15, 2024.
