CITY DELEGATION ADVANCES LOCAL MUNICIPAL PRIORITIES AT 2024 AMO CONFERENCE

ST. THOMAS, ON — A city delegation represented by Mayor Joe Preston and Councillors Lori Baldwin-Sands and Steve Peters, supported by City Manager Michael Bradley, joined participants from hundreds of Ontario municipalities and organizations as they took part in the Association of Municipalities of Ontario’s 2024 AMO Conference in Ottawa, Ontario from August 18th to 21st.

“The annual AMO conference allows us to seize the opportunity to advocate for and communicate our strategic priorities to the Ontario government, while collaborating with Provincial ministries on addressing key issues facing our community,” said Mayor Joe Preston. “Through the many delegation meetings we had this week, we emphasized the unique needs of our growing City and provided recommendations to ensure these needs are met and supported by upper levels of government.”
