The St. Thomas-Elgin County Health Recruitment Partnership is once again offering scholarships to support local students pursuing a career in medicine.
The 2026 Health Recruitment Partnership Scholarship will provide $1000 per year to up to 10 eligible medical students, with awards available annually for up to five years while the recipient remains enrolled in medical school.
The scholarship is open to residents of the City of St. Thomas or Elgin County who are enrolled in an eligible accredited medical school. Preference is placed on applicants pursuing a career in family medicine.
Applicants are asked to submit a completed application form, resume, proof of enrollment and a written statement outlining how their roots in St. Thomas or Elgin County continue to be important as they pursue a career in medicine.
Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on October 29, 2026.
