The Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act establishes a right of access to municipal government information and a restriction on the collection of personal information and its disclosure. Some access may be limited by specific exemptions.

The Act does not interfere with the present open disclosure practice of the City and cannot be used to access information already available to the public.

Requests must be made in writing and submitted with the appropriate fee to the City Clerk's office. The City Clerk is the Freedom of Information and Privacy Coordinator.
