Mission Statement
To provide St Thomas residents an opportunity for a safe, welcoming, low cost space to grow their own organic food and or flowers by planting and growing together within the community.
Since 2011, the community garden sites at First Avenue and Kains Street have been in operation, offering over 35 individual plots, one accessible raised bed, and three designated family plots. The gardens also provide space for youth-focused Outreach programs within the city.
The gardening season typically runs from May to October, with access available at your convenience.
Donations of garden-related items—such as gently used tools, hoses, planters, wood, trellises, sheds, greenhouses, soil, compost, plants, flowers, bulbs, and seeds—are always appreciated.
